5K commemorates Palau's independence

More than 200 runners came out to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Palau's independence by running a 5K held on September 28, 2014 at Chamorro Village in Guam. The race was organized by the Palau Women's Club.

Condolences for Ignacia Oilouch

PLC Board Member and PLC Former Chair/Vice-Chair 
The PLC family extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to the family of Ignacia Oilouch, our PLC colleague, who left this Earth on May 27, 2014.  She served as the first Board Member of the newly-established Palau Language Commission.on September 16, 2009.  She also served as the PLC Chair and Vice-Chair in 2012.  We are grateful for her contribution to preserve the Palauan language.  God Bless her and the family.  May she rest in peace.

We will always remember our dear friend and colleague, Ignacia Oilouch...

President Tommy Remengesau Jr. says Keynote Speech at UOG


The University of Guam celebrated the graduation of its 291 students on May 25, 2014 at the UOG Field House. The Commencement Ceremonies featured keynote speaker President Tommy Remengesau Jr. of the Republic of Palau. Remengesau impressed upon the need to preserve island values using modern ideas. Congratulations Spring 2014 graduates!
